The car is back from the spraypainters...a bit of a delay after a change in staff..... So you had one bloke take it apart and then another put it back together.
A bit of a recipe for disaster as I have a few broken bits and pieces here and there!!

A few more pics...

And who likes the MMC front badge compared to the triple diamond in the centre??

Those sideskirts are as rare as....I managed to pick them up on the Japanese Yahoo Auction site.

Mine had to be cut in half to have them shipped over from Japan at a reasonable shipping cost. They were plated together with rivets and covered up with a little fibreglass.

Hopefully the same skirt will be reproduced soon! Speaking of which, anyone seen Ricethief around???

Mal, those pics do NOT do the car justice - it looks so much nicer in person. The red is much brighter than it appears (on my screen at least :D)

And then, wait until the wheels are on...that will be the finishing touch.

Btw, I like the Mitsubishi diamond :D

Oh, and you need to get/make some GSR-V stickers

The black interior really suits it.

What wheels you got for it?

Yeah, the pictures do look a little dull as I took them late in the afternoon.

The red is Mitsubishi's Mexican red and I gotta say it looks very similar to monza red/ferrari red and I guess the Ford vixen red on their current models.
The photos dont really show how vibrant it is!!

Redzone...please send me those GSR-V decals, preferable in silver or white. Is the 'V' in red?? Need two!!

Who has the JD 'intercooler TURBO ' for the rear????? Need one of those too!!

I got the JA scooped bonnet yesterday and its perfect! But here's a brighter pic....

Break out the proper camera Mal!

yeah the GSR-V decals are same as original, except they're layered vinyl cut instead of printed..

Yeah, Mal, your pics dont show the brightness of the red...it is more like MrBishi's widey red and also Robert26t's red. It looks like a burnt orange with that camera you're using. Not criticising it - you already know how much I like it :D :beer

Well done Mal on a top job preserving/restoring a very rare and desirable vehicle.

Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh at some time. I'm sure given the condition of your widey that this will be done to the same very high standard and with the widey rims will look an absolute gem. :beer
Cheers
