could be keen, perhaps even on the fuel pump too! I gather the 0.25 oversized box under the mains bearing were for the new bearings and not the bearings up for sale?

Yep they just went back in the wrong box :) Markings on the bearings show they are std. Might be down your way at the end of month, gotta drop the car in huntly for 2 days so may come down to Hammas while im there.dirtygalant wrote:could be keen, perhaps even on the fuel pump too! ah choice! I'm not in a huge hurry I have only just pulled the engine out this arvo, need to stop the block n crank in to the engine builder tomorrow and then sort out parts some time next week.
I'm just a little worried about the bearings being slightly marked apparently those ACL race bearings don't have the typical soft top layer which wears in and that any marks or dirt/contaminants in the oil can damage the bearings quite easily while running in.

No probs man, if they don't sell il bring them down for u 2 hav a look at. My builder only put them in to check the clearances, found they were no good, pulled them out and put them back in the box so any marking is minimal.dirtygalant wrote:ah choice!
