Cheers

I don't think it was a matter of choosing the interior colour, it was a case of which exterior colour you wanted and that's how they came out from factory!
Basically when the JD was released you could have a black interior with white, gold, red and black. Maroon interiors came with two tone maroon/silver, silver etc
So, I would say there would be 50/50 break between the black and maroon interiors with the JD model.
You would need to import from either Japan or USA to get black bits....in particular, the instrument dash cover, centre console with side bits, perhaps door trims
and the rest would need reupholster and paint...

I've got a black dash and some of the front plastics sitting on the shelf that I could sell. How bad do you want it? :D The remainder could be retrimmed / painted?
Black was an option only on JD and I 'think' it was linked with the exterior colour you opted for.thrash wrote:so people CHOSE the grey/tan/maroon over the black?

Sonic, it would perhaps be cheaper to just paint your current bits black.. starion4me told me to just use vinyl paint and make sure i clean and reclean the surfaces before painting.. and i coloured the sentre console and roof lining of my old car that way and it came out REALLY nice and shiny on both pieces.
If an unskilled idiot like me can get that kinda result, somebody as skilled with their hands has you will have no trouble at all.

nah he's got a velour interior so he cant just spray it.
best/cheapest option for him is lunacy's interior plus mrbishi's interior parts which i think is enough to complete lunacy's bits..

The dash is probably the only part i really want to keep, but shipping seats etc will be pretty expensive. The rest of it probably wouldnt be too bad though.redzone wrote:nah he's got a velour interior so he cant just spray it.

Re Black bits
I have a black shroud (cluster cover) Perfect condition in my rally car that I could be talked out of!
And don't think its full of dirt............... No!! It has not hit the forest yet!!!
On a side note, The car is at my mates auto elec shop getting the ecu wired up at long last YAY
Any one have a wiring diagram for a JA that they could email me?
Or for that matter the other ends from the harness of an injected L300? I need them to connect up the L300 manifold.
Stupid question, but what has every one else done to over come this problem? (without reading 35 pages of posts to find out)
Cheers Jason :beer

Thanks guys for your help. I have tracked down some black parts. I may have to get the rest retrimmed and painted like suggested. Its in getting painted cherry red as we speak. This is so much fun..... Over a 3yr period...
