GSR-V Restoration

Post by JDSTAZ45 »

Just thought I would share a few pics of the red staz being restored. I've got it at the spraypainters first before getting it roadworthy and complied...

The good thing about the car is that it has never been in an accident, however, it one those cars that have been constantly parked outside hence the severe paint fade..

It's worth noting that almost all components were taken off including rear spoilers and glass panels inc hatch. I wasn't expecting this

More to come in the next week!

Thats a huge improvement. Looks like a lot of effort has been put in there. How much did the job cost?

They look great with fresh paint :)

Wish I'd done mine that way instead of stripping the whole thing.

These painted pics are of it just as it came out of the oven. With some more work and the rest of the car bits painted and assembled it will look even better ;)

Now that's the propper way to do a paint job, remove the pieces concerned before painting, none of this "masking" around the trim pieces. :beer

Excellent job I like it!!

Paint job was done by some friends of Nxtime. I saw his daily driver done and was impressed. And funny enough they're called 'Impressions' .
I'm paying more than I did on my widey, but I'm getting a more professional job. Extra costs are involved with 2 bonnets getting done plus
some Ralliart sideskirts I scored from Japan.

After owning a widey, I can't live without the 'factory' add-ons available on the narrowbodies....

Should be finished by the end of the week!

Did you get the guards rolled at the same time to allow fitment of wider wheels? A set of SHP widey wheels could look good!

The wheels I intend to put on are SHP 8" +18 for the rears and 7" +18 for the front. So rolled guards not necessary!
I gotta say, the 7" wheel isn't exactly a small wheel width wise. In the flesh, you need to check which is which!!
