in terms of looks, each to their own i suppose..

in terms of aerodynamics.. perhaps some wool tuft testing is in order? :D

although, considering they chose to remove it for the later models, i would be leaning towards the flat bonnets being more aerodynamically sound..
nope, it was purely the bagging the scoop bonnet earned from motoring writers at the time, mainly for the fact it was cosmetic not really functional. now of course 99% of scoop bonnets ARE functional!

scoop all the way mal, remember SOME GSR-V's had the scoop bonnet
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

FWIW I have made my JA bonnet on my JB functional :)
I fitted a JA bonnet ( hood to the mericans ) as I didn't want to molest the JB one to fit bonnet locking pins
I've had mine since 03 07 92

Nxtime I've got your old JA still as I got it from you if you need a good bonnet. I would need a JB one in it's place.
