orbital sander with 80 grade dry paper then finish it off with 180 paper once it's just starting to hit the metal.

This bonnet is for my GSR-V as the one I had was left outside and some rust developed near the front scoop. Cost too much to repair....

I have got access to one through Vulpes. Thanks Daz and to everyone else who offered!
Still a contentious thing on which bonnet is better??? As the car will have sideskirts, I will go for the full package with scooped bonnet!!

Will post pics of the start of restoration soon...

in terms of looks, each to their own i suppose..

in terms of aerodynamics.. perhaps some wool tuft testing is in order? :D

although, considering they chose to remove it for the later models, i would be leaning towards the flat bonnets being more aerodynamically sound..

don't try explaining that to her tho..... just leave. lol

No, why
I assume you need the plastic section of the scoop or the metal scooped section itself??
The metal section is fine, however the section below the plastic scoop where the latch is has rusted. Perhaps you maybe able to salvage one from the two???
