^^^^^^^^
Two reasons.
1. I already have a manual widey looking the way I want but need to spend $$$$ for the performance upgrades such as multipoint and after market computer.
Maybe a turbo upgrade might do the trick!
2. The GSR-V is a far superior car in its balance, handling/steering, braking and performance in relatively standard form!!

I suppose I just like experiencing different aspects and models of the staz that's on offer...and keeping them on the road!

Happy to say that I'm buying it! :D
Finally I'm getting a Widey!!

Will be driving it Melbourne-wards later on this week.

Sadly my white GSR-V will be up for sale shortly. Am just fixing up a few things and working out a price that's fair and will post it up here.

Very much looking forward to the drive back in this :)
Thanks JDSTAZ45!

I usually drive the Auto widey daily but drove the manual widey to work today! There is a considerable difference between these 2 cars.
The Auto widey is one of those cars that gets up to 80km/h and you wouldn't know it. Definately quicker!! The slotted rotors make a huge improvement to the anchors.
Kind of sad to see it go...

Now to start on the upgrades on the manual.

Congrats to Mitsumadness and I'm sure he will finish it off to a high standard. :beer :beer

Thanks Vulpes! Yeh should be a good drive back :) probly a bit more relaxing than driving the GSR-V back from Gold Coast in drenching rain haha.

Yeh looking forward to making this beauty look A1 and shiny with the last finishing touches. It should have a long and happy life here.

Been glad to hear about the auto being pretty good too! Did some research last night as well and found plenty of good stuff.

Good buy :beer you could get the auto manualised instead of installing a 5 speed box and have the best of both worlds  :beer

ooh yeh true, I could put a full manual kit in it if I wanted :)
I'll see how it is like this first tho, cos for daily driving it might be nice, since I have manual track Starions as well for my manual fix. But that's true, there's plenty of options

Nice one MM! Pleased to hear it. Hope the weather is kind to you on your return to Melbourne.

And you know what, I've only ever seen a widey in the flesh once, and it was a highly molested race car. Looking forward to checking this one out and being a passenger in it!

prepare to be absolutely blown away at how good the economy is, like 750km from a tank blown away...

these things do like 1500rpm at 110!

Yeh enthuzed, I hadn't admitted to anyone yet, but I actually hadn't seen a widey in person myself until turning up to pick it up last night haha.

But since I had looked at converting a JA to widebody, I was kind of familiar with every curve. But seeing it in the flesh it has so much more presence.

Definitely happy, and looking forward to that drive back, yeh Mal was saying about the economy being great too. Nice.

Oh and Redzone, I may talk to you about if you're interested in the springs that are in it, cos at first I was thinking I like that firm, but yes, even after just driving back to where I was staying last night, I have decided that King springs are going to be the way. Just slightly higher, and slightly not as hard would be good. Will decide for sure probly after the drive to Melb tonight.

I'll post updates on Austaz as I progress on this car, but it really is pretty nice, so not much will change on it really.

JDSTAZ45 - I made it back safely after a really awesome drive back. Thanks again, and thoroughly enjoyed chatting and catching up too. :beer

I am still thinking I'll go for the softer springs. Amusingly enough though I took my wife for a short ride in it today, and she actually thinks I should keep the hard springs haha.

So Redzone I'll let you know how I go... the jury is still out on the spring choices. Also depends what my roadworthy guy says. It's only the exhaust that sits a bit low, so even if I can hoink that up slightly without it touching the suspension, then maybe I'll be through :)

I thought I would string the ad along in Carsales to see if anyone would be interested in my manual widey! At a premium price of course!

I might be red-faced if I come across a hardcore Mitsubishi fan who offers me what I want

Oh well, there's plenty more widey's overseas!! :D

Edit: Then again, I could be DREAMING!

Oh yeh, you could modify the carsales ad and re-use it. Not a bad idea :)

I also forgot to say... the Bryan Adams tape definitely came in handy on the trip!

I'll keep you posted on what turbo stuff I might have available for you.

Another NSW widey goes interstate :(

Great buy, MM. :beer I am sure that you will enjoy the new ride :)

There goes the last cheance at getting a cheap widey. Most that are available in Japan are either non-importable or too expensive. Or both.
