Front suspension work done

Post by Vulpes »

Just finished all my front end work. Damn thats a huge job, tie rod ends, ball joints, lowered springs, wheel bearings. All up I figure about 10 hours. I was a lot faster on the second side now that I know how it all works. Now I just have to do the back springs and wheel bearings.

 now I am embarrased. It seems like I swapped one side spring for the lowered one, then put the original spring back in the other side :( I couldnt figure out why the passneger side was 20mm higher. I only realised when i was installing the back springs and realised when I put the two front remaining springs side by side that they were different. The worst part is I now have to pull the whole front end out of the passenger side again.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does silly shit like this.

How frustrating is it?

Ha ha. Nice work.

So I am not such an idiot after all. I didnt put the wrong spring in, the springs i bought off somebody here are not for a starion. I didnt realize until I pulled the rear ones off to change them to the lower springs. On checking one of my parts cars I have realised the springs I was sold are not even close to the right shape or length. Oh well, I am now putting the standard springs back in.

Why don't you buy a set of King springs off ebay! Or give 1320ft a pm to see what price he can get them at!!

If you decide to put your standard springs in, then you are welcome to buy my almost new mookeeh rear shocks as they do not suit lowered springs.
There's too much shock travel before they work on my lowered eibach springs!! :? I need a more heavy duty shock!
