I like being a nobody

Post by Vulpes »

You know what, with all the lies and shit that goes on in an election I am glad I am just a dumb builder who loves his family and likes working on his car. I'd rather be in my shed on a rainy day tinkering with the staz then driving a maybach and living in a mansion. I'd rather have a woman who loves me and enjoys taking care of me then a brazilian waxed nympho who only thinks of how she looks ( dont get me wrong I think my wife is HOT ) I'd rather drive a car that is 26 years old then the latest thing I am not that keen on. I'd rather earn $60,000 a year and be happy and less stressed than 260,000 a year and be under pressure ( I have bee in both places ) I'd rather be home than be at some night club, I rather have nothing in the bank ( done ! ) and treat people well then have a million and be an asshole. There is a lot to be said for being a simple man with simple pleasures.

Agreed whole heartedly. I feel that as you start to get too much money, you start to lose yourself. And to be perfectly honest, there is only 1 thing in my life I would change, and that would be to earn more money. Not Heaps, just enough to survive because the government is starting to kill me with all these interest rate rises.

There's nothing wrong with being poor & living in poverty, just damn inconvenient. (These were the words of a comedian I saw recently)

I totally agree, I was discussing this with a wealthy mate the other day, he didn't understand.

All in all, well said.

I guess if you can't help being an asshole then it's would be better to be a filthy rich with no friends than a poor one and be friendless

How about this for a thought: Who gives a shit what others think, do what makes you happy. And if you don't know what that is, spend your millions to find out... :P
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

Seriously though, why choose between being rich and an arsehole or being poor and nice?

You can also be nice and rich if you choose to be so. Some people are wealthy as a result of sorting out their "stuff" in life, they didn't have a great start in life perhaps and their wealth is simply a byproduct of who they became.

Some are also like this naturally, they were fortunate enough to be bought up with a wealth consciousness and had developed in a nurturing and supportive environment. Most of them are really good people.

Conversely you can also be a poor arsehole! I'm sure we all know a few of those sorts...So thrash, sort out your shit or remain in this group. :P

I'm trying to sort out my shit AND remain in this group haha. I wanna be rich, and i don't want to sell my staz to get there.. although I do know it would be much easier/quicker if i put the staz on hold..

I think people do realise you can be nice and rich as well, but the concensise here is they would rather be nice then to be rich. If you can have both awesome. I think by choosing to be nice over being rich, you in turn will be nice no matter how much money you have. Its people who say they would rather the money that are the arseholes.

P.S. I can't spell for crap :D Just another reason why I will always be poor but nice :beer
