WHO WORKS IN THE AUTO PARTS OR TYRE INDUSTRY

Post by OLD FART »

Do you think that there should be a stickey in the buy/sell area with the names and contact # so it will be easy to find when we need to buy parts or whatever at mates rates??

I think it's a good idea...
I think you could extend it so it's not just for the auto industry.

EG. I work for Viridian Glass (ex Pilkington) and if there is someway I can help with info on glass or comparison prices I would.

Like a GOODS & SERVICES List of Contacts/Members.

Thanks Pete good idea I beleive that our little community of die hards need to help and support each other in as many ways as possible So if you are able to organise/give discounts from where you work, to members then that has to be a good thing

don't suppose you could look into replicating staz side and rear glass? ;) a forum member was telling me recently that o-brien still do the front windshield, but not the rear hatch or the sides.. and then gotsom mentioned during the cruise that she had a hatch shatter on her due to a rear impact.. that scares me.. haha

don't try explaining that to her tho..... just leave. lol

Good idea.

I'm a sales rep for Burson Auto Parts, so I can do whatever I see fit (price wise) to get the sales.

Good idea, I don't work in parts but am happy to get local members discounts on parts for any car. Also have cheap rental cars for travellers/ skiers, South Island only.

Here's my thought. Have a Trade Directory covering anything from PC games to fishing rods, BUT, have a small charge (to cover hosting costs) for businesses & retailers wanting to promote, & free for non-business Austarion forum members wanting to promote their products or facilities.
Personally I have nothing to list in a Trade Directory, but would certainly use those who were listed.
Maybe it could be a sub-directory within Buy/Sell

I'm good at making babies so if your wife needs to get pregnant and you are too busy at work or would rather spend your free time working on your Starion let me know and I'll drop round and fix her up for you. My rates are pretty reasonable and all major cards are accepted. Discounts are available for group purchases. :beer
