if you are actually using your original starion block it is completely legal as you are not changing the engine capacity

Hi, whats this vibration.. have you checked balance shaft belt timing??
Pays to put a Cat on anways being that we have to burn Unleaded fuel now.. I Tig'd in a Super cat in my 3in system after the Mesh one fell apart after 6 months.. Lost a bit of flow but heaps quieter then straight through and boost did not spike so easly..

nope, haven't checked anything - vibrations are went away on their own..

she's sweet to drive now, bar a couple of tuning issues that i will sort out when i have the money to take her for a tune.

latest update.. 210rwkw @ 6k rpm on 16psi. Don't have a catch can hooked up yet, so she's spewing oil out the top if revved over 6k, so not tuned to 7k until i have more funds to get myself a decent catch can and do some other little things.

will post up the dyno sheet when i get my internet back at home.

i'm quite happy :D

MRC Dyno is bloody fantastic.

on a side note, can i make use of the standard starion catch can/charcoal canister thingy that's bolted to the airbox? how good is it? does it have the intertior baffling/steel wool etc? or should i just bin it and get an aftermarket unit?

The stock one works well and has the piping to send the oil back to the sump, most aftermarket ones you have to keep on emptying.

Thrasher Dasher,

I have a brand new Cusco catch can still in the box here if you have 50 bucks to pay for it. has all the fittings and pipes etc but is not a drain back but could be drilled/tapped to make so.

Cost me a hunge, but never ended up using it - went with one from MSC .

And those front disc's are still here (free) if you still want. Come round, I dont bite. much...... anymore........hard...... LOL

Cheerio

if it's not chromey and shiney I'll take it. I'm not fond of bling in the engine bay - even more so if a cop asks me to pop the bonnet.

Might give you a ring next weekend Wantsom :)
