WTB Mint starion sump

Post by Lunacy »

As topic says, need an undamaged and dent free sump for my new engine. The one i was gonna use had surface rust which turned out to be nearly right thru the metal
NZ preferred but wil look at one from Aus too.
Also anyone on here know who adds wings/baffles to these in either NZ or aus?
Cheers

Rice thief,

Do you know anything about those guys who make the sumps? I'm after that exact thing, but their e-mail address isn't working and the number just rings out.

Any ideas?

Hmm, i spoke to him today but forgot to ask. But about a month ago he said he wasn't thinking of doing anymore. Guess he changed his mind.

How much out of interest?

He said $355AUD plus postage to NZ for me.
Debating whether to get this one now or wonder whether this 1 will fit as its for a 4wd eclipse originally.

Is the bolt pattern for the sump on a VR4 4G63 any different to the bolt pattern on a Starion 4G63 block?

I'd really like one of these sumps, but I'm not convinced it'll fit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jd_stazza_brendan has a setup, he would know more about it than I do.

you have to elongate one bolthole on the timing cover end of the sump, no biggie..

Thanks Redzone, I suspected they would be VERY similar.

Just confirming that you know this for sure - the one mis-aligned bolt is the only difference?
