Phillip Island This Saturday, 15th May

Post by JJH »

Taking the Staz down to PI this Saturday for a bit of practice, they normally have passenger rides as part of the day.
Day kicks off around 9 and goes to 4ish.
So, if you're in the area, come and check it out and maybe get a few laps around one of the coolest race tracks in the country.

Have fun Jeff and enjoy. Much envy frm me LOL

Be sure to post up some "impressions from the drivers seat" afterwards. Nice flowing circuit for the Starion to let run.

Reading this thread and thinking of PI, Winton and Sandown makes one think of moving to Vic. Or QLD for Morgan Park and Lakeside (they can stick QR up their arse for all I care -useless stupid layout).

Sydney get only Eastern Creek (which is a hoot) or the 2 hr treck to Wakefield Goat Park which is a fun but hardly inspiring.

Finances are tight this year but next year I will definitely be heading north and south for some sprints. Would be good to do some meetings with you interstate guys. Skaife once described a good track as one with consequences involved. Oran Park had consequences by the bucket load as does PI and Lakeside by the sounds of it.
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

Let us banana benders know when you plan to visit the Sunshine State as i'm sure you will have plenty of company to follow your Staz around the tracks :D :beer
PS don't be too long coming as I don't know if they allow mobility cars to compete :( LOL

Oh you'll know when I am heading up Rad :D , its something on my 'to do' list next year for sure. The new Morgan Park layout looks awesome and the whole complex is coming on strong.

Sorry to highjack your thread Jeff. Back to you now. Try and get some pics if you can :beer
