I would say no more than 20-30kgs. Thats nothing, hell i only weigh 69kgs so it is not that bad. Well well well worth it i can assure you. I have driven it more in the last few days then in the whole last year, its awesome.

Hmmm maybe I have it backwards... I was just removing all my sound deadening and everything that could possibly be unbolted, scraped off or detached.

I can even hear my synchro's spinning up as I touch toward a gear now!

As you get older your taste gets more refined, where as you use to be able to handle not having aircon on a hot summers day and didnt care that the heat was radiating off the firewall on to your feet, things like that bother you when you are older :D

very true rice thief, I would rather have comfort AND performance than just performance. If I have to sacrifice a bit of speed for refinement then so be it. I can tell you that after driving it more in the last week than in the last year it is a revelation, it is smooth, powerful and deadly quiet unless you have the window down to hear the fantastic note of the exhaust. It really is an incredible car now.

Kudos !

Wife hated driving in my blue one cos it was too loud....I was used to it. And I agree, as you get older you do want things a bit less manic and loud. But that's the only way I don't speed...when it's quiet and you don't pay attention and before you know it, 120....etc in the wrong zones.

Yes I still have a spare but it is soundproofed below it as the wheel well is just a steel tub. Seriously no wonder these cars are loud, there is virtually no soundproofing in them at all from the factory.

Actually... yeh I see that point! My wife doesn't like riding in my GSR-V cos of the noise. I think I would prefer her to be happy riding in it so I can drive it more often. I got around it for now, cos the car she got is louder now haha, but I can see the advantage, especially for everyday driving. And I've managed to do the not speeding thing now too, but you're right, as soon as I hear engine noise, I feel like making it purr louder, and ooops, am I doing 100 now?
