I remember seeing a 82 JDM starion running a 12 valve with the factory 8 valve computer. Not sure how he did it though. I think he was using the 8 valve injection but not sure. it was at least 8 years ago!

8v computer will run the 12v motor...
Me and my mate put a DASH motor into a cordia that was running a 2L 8v... it ran and was crazy powerful. Would light up the wheels at crazy speeds! Although cause it didn't have the correct computer it never ran to it's full potential.

I am pretty sure I will get it, I just hope no other bugger is keen on it!

Bao sent me a wiring diagram, what an absolute legend!

The other thing I was thinking of, is because that's a FWD engine I would have to use one of my RWD non-dash manifolds which aren't split pulse - wonder how much power would be lost with that. Although I would be hoping to use an Evo big16G turbo instead of the 12G it would come with.

also to clarify, the DASH injection has staggered sized injectors doesn't it? unlike my pre-type A system which has two same sized injectors. Does anyone know the size of each and under what conditions they each run. I am thinking I would like to get VELNAS working but need a suitable injection pulse.

and also there doesn't appear to be an E101 unit in the parts - the DASH engines definitely run these right? I wonder if a standard Starion one could be substituted in its place, the unit I have on mine is far different.

From all the info i have read the dash is staged injecttion. There is no e101 as the ecu controls both injeectors and ignition.
Starions are a disease, the only cure is poverty.

ah right, cool. So with the staged injection, I wonder if one of the injectors is around 800cc and runs at all times. also wondering if any of the Starion looms share the same ECU plugs to use as donors.
