New Gearbox is amazing
I had to swap gearboxes due to it being impossible to change gears. I cannot believe the difference. It simply falls into each gear now withe short shifter attached. I have always had issues with the gearbox and clutch ever since I got the car, now I am amazed. I will remove the diff today as it is leaking 10 times worse since I tried to fix it in place yesterday. Will send it off this week to get new seals put in.
Hi Greg I had the box I got from you stripped ,Cyroed & rebuilt & its now behind my TC stroker and has handled 588kn torque with flying colours in the Gatton sprints Hope it continues to hold up for a long time to come
I've had mine since 03 07 92

Can be a clutchrelated problem, not always gerboxproblem.2000_turbo wrote:How about shifting above 6000rpm, no problems? It's impossible for me to shift above 6500rpm, i'll have to wait untill the rpm drops below 6000rpm.
Gr,
Martijn.
Anyone tried ATF-oil in the manual box?
Can be realy good if changed often enough...

that's the main reason i like the RX7 boxes, as the synchro's are designed for high rpm shifting, the mitsu boxes are not!2000_turbo wrote:How about shifting above 6000rpm, no problems? It's impossible for me to shift above 6500rpm, i'll have to wait untill the rpm drops below 6000rpm.
