I looked at an 87 Sigma GSR-X back in April last year, had done only 146K, looked quite nice condition as well, but I was put off by the first and second owners!

oohhh!! I want that engine! it's a FWD one though so wont drop right in (ie narrowblock) but definitely worth it for the parts or combine the DASH parts with a Starion engine.
wonder how much the reserve is.

was wondering what the difference between a "cyclone DASH" and a "sirius DASH" is though

nothing they are the same. Sirius DASH is found on the RWD models while Cyclone DASH is typically on the FWD models. But not 100% sure.

Ok it appears that engine doesn't come with the wiring loom to plug into the ECU, but it comes with 2 ECUs.
Does anyone know of a wiring diagram for the DASH engines? And if possible knows what sort of plugs they use?
Thanks

This'd be a snack to hook up - but rather than frig around with the DASH ECI/Wiring just get a cheaper ECU to run fuel/spark and off you go. It'll save you heaps of time and headaches in the long run.
The DASH comes with a optical dizzy so there's your signal reference taken care of. Fuel - set the injectors on batch fire or if you want stage them through the ecu. 2nd inlet valve can be operated through another optional outlet and triggered to fire at whatever rev you want. Mine was set 2500 rpm or with good fuel mapping turn it off altogether.
Plus you get electronic boost control, MAP sensing and fully programmable mapping. 150kw's at the wheels easily. Fit an adjustable cam gear and dial in the cam and move the power curve wherever you want.
All the other stuff, exhaust, alternators is all Standard starion stuff.

Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

yeah I thought if I were to go the aftermarket ECU route I would modify the 8 port DASH manifold to take injectors to make it multi point injection.
I wonder if in the meantime I could run my stock ECI throttlebody unit and ECU on the DASH manifold.
