No, no trophies. But was a good time. :)

I took the gold one for a good run after the show. It just gets better and better the more I drive it. And tomorrow (monday) it goes in for its full tune :) Can't wait to see how it goes :D

Daniel drove it back from the show. Seemed to realy like it.

Was very impressed with Jason's gold car even on a run in tune, looking foward to todays outcome at the tuners.

Nice progress Byrce, are you gonna paint the whole car yourself?

ps Will check on those Toyota parts tonight

Yeah Jase let me have a wee drive round town last month, got me very motivated to get mine up and running :) Will be great once its run in!

Im debating painting the car myself, if i can get a decent compressor and a bit of practice in i mite do it, otherwise il just do all the bodywork to a point where it just needs shooting and then pay someone. Will prob do the interior myself though.
Thanks again for the help with the lux parts man, wil hook ya up with some refreshments :beer

Well mocked up my coilovers today, should finish them tomorrow. Yay then car will almost be rolling again!!
Just gotta finalise the position of the sleeves then weld them on.
Then will dismantle them, have them stripped and powdercoated, then reassemble and onto the car they go.
They are shortened housings with rear MR2 agx inserts, mookeeh mk1 camber plates, 450lb 250mm long king springs and sleeves, nuts and billet tophats from local suspension place.
Enjoy :)

But will be another month or so as due back at work early next week, and off racing this wknd so not much time to do more.

Thrash, i got my stuff at a discount and those front ones have set me back nearly $900 plus the camber plates so they arent cheap by any stretch but will give me the tunability that i want at least.
Im happy to put anyone onto the same guy i used to get the stuff required if anyone wants to do this also.

Well finally back into getting some stuff done on the car now.
Finally finished scrubbing the tar/dirt/deadening off the underside of the car, and its now coated in nice new stuff :)
Had dramas with my engine build, the builder rung me and said the pistons i supplied were actually stroker ones, not standard ones  I bought them after they were advertised correctly and of course said company now no longer exists :(
So basically had to order a new set so i bought some wiescos which the builder now has so just maybe il have an engine soon!
Have also bought all new tierod ends and ball joints, and have cent my centre link off to be reconditioned by a local place.
Also bought new front wheel bearings and have spent this arvo removing the old ones, cleaning all the old grease out, and wirebrushing the hubs as they were VERY rusty. They are now nicely primered :)
Started running the braided fuel line too so will finish mounting that up tomorrow.
Man thats a mouthful! So yeah been pretty busy in the last week and still have 4 more weeks off so hoping to get alot more done yet.
Heres a few pics of bits and pieces

Hubs etch primered:

Tell me they're 11:1 and you're going for an E85 tune!!

It's the way to go. I wish I had run a higher CR in my 2.3 stroker now. I went with around 9.3:1, which has been great, but with E85 being readily available, a higher CR is the way to go.
