That sucks!
It ran a big end at about 150-160,000k's and I was servicing it every 5000K's!
When it was rebuilt it was with all factory mitsi bearings, gaskets etc...
Perhaps this time go for ARP and well known after market brands?

yeah it sucks that 25-30000ks after a rebuild it happened again, do you happen to know what cylinder it ran the big end on? will get a crank grind and go to oversized bearings

if it's done the same thing twice then perhaps it may be worth your while to start with a different bottom end.

yeah it sounds like you guys have just repaired the damage but not fixed the cause. was the crank checked for straightness? was the main journals measured and line bored? how was the condition of the oil pump? etc etc

You seem to or may have an oil flow problem to the bearings and it may be crap in the crank galleries preventing full flow to the bearings .
I always have the ballbearings plugging the galleries in the crank removed prior to the chemical bath so the crank can be fully cleaned and allen key grub screws inserted NOTE THE TAPPING OF THE TREADS MUST BE DONE BEFORE CLEANING.This is the only way to remove all the gunk that accumulates in that area over time due to centrifugal force

The bottom end use to sound like a machine gun on decelleration... that's when I knew the bottom end had given up!
So I took it in and asked for a full rebuild.
