dean croswell aka chooky no longer has any starions, he was based in tassie but moved to the goldy about 3 years or more ago.

he sold the car to a fellow who lives near me :)

i've been assisting him to turn it into a sierra destroyer

have a look at the historic lakeside pics/vids from last year on this forum to see it running. should be interesting results from that car this year in the historic group A racing.....

ps i have taken loads of pics of that car up on my hoist :D

It got dismantled a couple of years back. The shell went to StarionClinic, Hoongirl took the TD06 turbo and manifold I think, I grabbed the 3.9LSD and the front suspension/crossmember. I think the motor and gearbox went to Brisbane and the Motec and i/cooler stuff went to Newcastle, www18U grabbed the coilovers, MRB took the rollcage.

Not sure of the rest, the car just kinda evaporated before our eyes.
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

So a bit of his car live on in each of ours.
I have the spare Tomei cam wheel that I bought off him just before he was selling the car.

There you go, a keepsake for you and another piece of the puzzle solved.

I remember getting that for him when I got mine and he never got around to fitting it. But knowing Cookie's distate for anything shiny or bling, he would have had 'issues' putting it on so it was to be expected that it remained in the box. LOL

Chooky's car was bit rough around the edges from what I heard. never actually got to see it up close and personal myself. I'm sure under Redzone's care it will come up a treat though

Vulpe's, there's nothing stopping us having another Wakefield day. Just needs some organising

yeah craig who owns it now is fixing up all the loose ends without destroying the history/patina, he was going to do a full rotisserie resto on it but the group a guys talked him out of it, as people would rather see what they were like at the time!
