A quality zorst manifold or complete rubbish?

Post by enthuzed »

Anyone bought from these guys before? They seem cheap in price, but are they cheap in quality?

As a general rule any SS manifold that has those little tags welded where the runners meet the flange usually indicates that the runners are very thin material. The top quality headers don't have the tags & cost more than $1000 and are guaranteed for life don,t have /need them as they are made from thicker material. Remember they get red hot and have to be strong enough to support the weight of the turbo and dump The choice is yours

if you do decide to get one or something similar an extra brace to the head holding up the weight of the turbo is a good idea and will reduce the likelyhood/time period before it cracks

however it seems that thin cheap stainless manifolds are always going to fail eventually tho

The Svedisch way... It's for an Evo, but you get the idea:

And this one's for a Audi 5cyl:

Not very dirtcheap, but will last forever...
