I got some flexiable welding cable lead from work
Its 16mm2 so i beleive that converts to 5 AWG
should beable to handle the cranking of the starter motor
My new battery in the boot. Also added a battery isolation switch at the same time.
DIN66 Battery. Maintenance free. 670CCA, 120 RC.
The DIN style batteries are for VE commodores and Euro car that come with a battery in the boot as standard. They are like a semi sealed unit that come with tubes that you can vent to outside the vehicle.
seeing as mine isn't moving .....
only the "real" floor is in the back, i screwed down mdf onto the framework that the metal "false" floor was attached to.
yes the lead/acid will be replaced but there is no hurry now :x
i attached the earth to a big bolt thats under there, i ran the cable from a distribution block in the front through the same path as the factory wiring into the car the under the passenger side carpet, passenger side rear seat to the battery.. hope it helps in some way :)
