Pardon me for stating the obvious, but a JD Starion is an excellent everyday car. Just simply add a few tweaks to it!

With the change left over, just grab one of those $20K driveaway shopping trolleys!

Also, an AWD VRX, Verada or Magna are excellent cars for under $15K.

If you buy something too good, you will only end up spending money on it to make it 'better' and before you know it will never drive the Starion.

Besides old timers should drive Camry's.

when ever i buy another car i stop working on my starion aswell as driving it. because we all know to well WE CANT JUST STOP AT ONE MOD!!!

Take a mazda 3 mps for a test drive, it'll be a good alternative to the stazz and puts you in the same class if you need to race with it. It also comes with a lsd from the factory as well. Only problem would be the styling, it might be too young for an old timer as yourself :P

I had a 142 before the big bumper came out with ported head Alfa rods VW pistons twin 48 Webbers CIG locker and a TOYOTA 5 speed that reved to 7500 and was able to do 14's and was so driveable sideways on dirt :D

How much does a GTR cost on your side of the ditch??
