What do you suspect has happened to the crank?
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Crank related troubles - full story can be found at:
http://forums.austarion.com/viewtopic.p ... sc&start=0

pictures of crank damaged can be found on page 3 of that thread. Basically, the keyway and key to hold the timing gear in place is worn.
redzone wrote:bodge up the crank with devcon like i suggested, that'll get you here. if it breaks down around the border i can always tow it from there :D

and yeah fuel's no drama.. so you keen or what? :pimp
if you pay the full 2 grand i'm happy to do it and include all the extras mentioned :P

btw, where can i get this devcon stuff from? The guy at repco went :wtf:

let me think about it for a couple of days man. but yeah i'm not surprised that repco dont know what devcon is. loctite do an equivalent thing too i'm pretty sure. i'll check for a part number for it at work, you might be able to teach the repco dude something rofl

are you seriously interested?

in the hunt for 170kw, so far i've collected..

- choice of l300 manifold or modded sonata manifold
- ems ecu already tuned for said l300 manifold and 550cc injectors
- wiring loom to suit l300 mani and ems ecu - this will need to be redone as it is not in the best of shape.
- 550 cc injectors
- cam - unknown spec, but was in a car that made 200kw, and power to 7k rpm - no, it wasn't a starion
- double valve spings
- electronic dizzy
- newish spark plug leads
- custom exhaust manifold from flav for a 16g or 20g turbo - this is yet to arrive..
- vr4 intercooler, and some other intercoolers..

Not sure if I've forgotten stuff.. but this is what I can remember. I can't go and check for now cos it's all packed away due to the move. Noddy has already asked for the mpi gear, pending shipping costs, which I will have to work out as perth is faaar. So if he takes it first, then i will not be able to sell it with the car... for obvious reasons..

And not all of the stuff will be included.. e.g. I will only inlclude one of the intercoolers and one of the intake manifolds.. and i'm thinking of keeping the 550cc injectors.. but then I have 8 of them at the moment so hmmm.. i dunno..

still have this if anyone wants to buy it.. haven't put it on ebay yet.. a part of me doesn't want to let it go.. first starion and it's the 100th JB.. can't get a cooler number than that.. except maybe number 1..

but i don't have space.. so i should let it go.. rego runs out on the 9th of march..
