Rear discs

Post by OLD FART »

Was trying to get a pair of rear discs for the JB to have them in store for the future but have been told by both RDA & DBA they are not available
So can they be sourced from America or has anyone done a mix & match or an upgrade??
I've had mine since 03 07 92

Def want to know about a decent rear brake update. Someone here will have done something straightforward but different, surely...
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

I run the R1 concepts slotted drilled and vented rotors which have been great so far... haven't had the car on the track yet though so I don't know how they would hold up under those conditions

They appear to be a std replacement fittment so if they bolt straight up without any mods/alterations whatsoever then there are no compliance issues

I literally just ordered as set of rear discs from supercheap today! Check their site out under their Parts Guide and put in your car details and check out the brake section. They have dba's listed on there and also ATAP ones. I just ordered a set of the ATAP ones for $322 the pair plus freight made it $360.95. The dba ones appear to only be front discs so there wasn't any choice really.

While searching I also found some upgrade options at Brake warehouse - they have rear (and front) discs, starting at $433.40 a set for slotted discs and $631.40 for slotted and grooved. Fronts are cheaper and freight is $27.50 for 1 set of rears.

Good luck with actually getting them as I have been told by both DBA & RDA this week that they are no longer made& there are none in the warehouse

Just got an email to say my order has been processed and shipped so all looks good for now. In case I was not clear, they were the ATAP branded ones, not DBA as there were no DBA listed rear discs in their parts guide.

And yes 247 mm hole is massive fugazi, you would only be able to see them side on lol!
