So Ive been driving this around a bit :) but the springs are way to stiff for our shitty roads.
The springs I got with the kit are 6kg/mm (335lbs/in) rear and 8kg/mm (448lbs/in) front.
Ive got some 275lbs/in for the rears in a longer size as the platforms were just about at the top. And was thinking about using the 6ks/mm rears in the front. But couyld be a little on the soft side.
What are people using for street use? Anyone know what the King Springs are rated at for the starions? Just to compare.

Heres a pic of a new rear (left) compared to the old rear.

JAS, thats way too heavy for the street, its close to what I am running on the track. I'd be going with 200-250 rears and 250-300 for the fronts absolute tops for street use.

Check out the King Springs website for their catalogue. They have an extensive range of springs for coil overs and pricing is pretty reasonable.

Cheers
Greg
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

I'm running 350lb fronts and 300 rears. Stiff enough while remaining reasonably comfortable to drive on street. 450lb fronts would probably bust a spleen.

Mate. It was ridiculous!!!!!! When I first drove the car the shocks were set to about the middle setting and the thing felt like the suspension was all welded soild!!!
I sofened the shocks up and was heaps better but still felt every single bump. Id drive it around and on a bad bit of road Id just be bouncing in my seat.! lol

I wonder if you can get that setup with out the main springs? Thats what Id recommend to anyone thinking of ordering a set.

Not sure, but I do remember the Euro-Spec EX starion I had had stiffer springs than the JDM starions Ive owned. Not much stiffer tho. About the same as the King Springs 30mm lower springs you can get.

I've got 9kg in the front and 8kg in the rear of my Eterna and yeah it is a little on the stiff side but still not too bad. Although having said that the Eterna is a touch heavier (and will be heavier still in the nose with the V6), and I had 205/50 R16 tyres which would have soaked up a bit of the bumps.

Gezz phil that is stiff!!
Im using 225/35/18s front and 255/35/18s rear, which dont help with the small bumps.

yeah it definitely is on the firm side, and its so firm I think the front shocks are failing. The springs came from a set of Legnum coilovers though I guess the Legnum is a good 200-300kgs heavier.

Hi Jason loved Mrs Tiger pics :D unfortunately somebody who lives here deleted them :(
I have been in contact with PALMSIDE in C/church and they are tring to come up with a Quaife lsd to fit our cars .As you are on the spot would you mind following this up .
If they do fit maybe with some minor machineing they appear to be a far better no maintainence unit
Cheers
