Yes it's our M&W kit. Sparktech is one of our US dealers.

Well its done, the car is running and tuned and back home for me to tidy up and put away all the wiring etc. I dont have the graph atm as it was a bit rush rush at the end (I will get in next week). For anyone interested it pounded out 240 kws at the rears on 16lb boost. All went smoothly, no leaks, no problems, no gremlins.

It will be given a further 'tidy up' tune and a few more psi in the new year.

I am happy :D

What's the dyno sheet look like? Where's it hitting boost? Is it a linear torque curve or is it coming on in a bigass lump?

I didn't say post the graph. I said what did it look like with two direct questions. I'm sure you've seen it rather than just taking some workshops word for it.

Wantsom,

I've been watching this project with interest. You've done a great job.

What are your intentions with the car? Are you going to race it in Improved Production?

Have you given it a shake down at the track yet?

Love your work, keep us updated on what where you're at with it.

Car is used for super sprints and track days. Its just a hobby/fun project where I can get to have a run and not deal with racing politics (been there in the past).

Its been built to IP regulations but without the restrictor.

Gave it a shake down at EC early December. After sorting some nagging brake issues I managed half a dozen laps in the end and it felt really strong.

Currently replacing a few bushes in the rear suspension that have worn prematurely :? and get back into it and have a bunch of fun with it.

MRC should reopen tommorrow and I'll nip in there and pick up some dyno sheets to post plus a few photos.

im currently building my ja to ip rules but could use a bit of advice about steering

is there any reason why a scorpion steering box is better than a starion box without power steering???
i have decided to go without power steering and have the option of buying a starion or a scorpion box and am just wondering which one i should go for.

cheers

Starion boxes are power assisted so once you remove the fluid lines you need to find a way to keep some fluid in them. Do a search on the forum, both have been done.

for me the Scorpion box was a simple bolt in mod. The steering has good feel on the circuit and not to heavy at low speed. Its clean, neat and easy to do. My personal choice would be the Scorpion box onlty because of its ease of fitment and good feel on the circuit. You will also need the Scorpion steering shaft which is a bit longer. Again research the threads (if you havent already done so) and its a straightforward swap.
