Shell sections from a JB

Post by enthuzed »

Merry Christmas people!

In the next few days I'm planning on cutting up a JB shell that is rusty but straight.
The left rear quarter has been cut off already, but the right hand rear corner is good and the rest of the rear section. The rails also appear straight.
Note: It's pretty much stripped out and there are no hang on panels.

The worst of the rust is in the lower rad support under the radiator, the left inner guard near the firewall and the right hand B pillar behind the vent.

Also got the tags with a VicRoads certificate to verify the VIN number isn't stolen and has no encumbrances. The VIN is JB7X24SG22000194.

Will whack some photos up soon.
Worst case and nobody wants any sections, it'll go to the scrap metal yard in the sky...
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

Exactly. Why would I do that?
It'll get recycled via a scrap metal yard...probably come back as a Ford or some other piece of crap...

Cant get my new phone to transfer pics to my PC dammit!

Bump anyways, will have another go at it soon.

Will cut the bugger up soon too, so yell out if you need a section, a front or rear crossmember, etc.

I've still got this bloody thing! It takes less time to conceive and push out a ruggie! I'd put up photos but the bloody things are still "stuck" in the phone.
Effectively I've cut off the left rear quarter panel and through the roof at the B pillar. If anyone asks for pics, I'll take some and post them up.

And some more (apologies for the huge photos, I shrunk them and they're still monsterous):

In fact, you could say I'm a little floored if I know why they are so big... :D

This is all that's left of Rusty. Pretty huh?

I'll go update the registry as well...he's gone to the scrap metal yard in the sky but at least many bits have or will make their way onto other cars.

How about a fair dinkum JA to JB conversion?
Means you've gone from factory 14 x 6.5 to 15 x 7 rims.
So those 16s will be allowable now on your JA.
What about upping the value of your car? JBs are worth more. :D
The numbers are legit, got a stolen check and whatnot done and the bit of paper to prove it.
Open to offers.
