first car.. 1985 vk commodore.. loved it to bits.. even though it had so many problems.. only mod i know of were performance extractors and exhaust system.. sounded fanbloodytastic.. i do miss the instantanous torque.. but i don't miss the stopping for petrol every 3 hours.. i've actually watched the fuel gauge drop an 8th of the way or so while trying to find parking in a westfields carpark on a busy day :S

second car.. 1991 holden nova (corolla really) the most efficient and reliable beast to ever walk the earth.. but a tad gutless.. but this one did really well though.. had done almost 300,000 kms, and the engine was still running strong.. i even had to make a trip once from northern sydney to bowral on the southern highlands, and on the way back, i pushed it to 160 some of the way
5 gear, engine at 5500 rpm... 
but i needed something with a bit more power than the corolla, and a bit less thirsty than the commodore.. so i gots myself a starion
