FS GJ Scorpion
FS GJ Scorpion
It's an '81 model, 2.6L, was auto but has been converted to manual. Mods are a 2L cam and a straight thru tailpipe. It has minor rust and a few dings, and could do with a paintjob, but other than that it's in ok condition.
It runs ok, but it misses a little at idle, hesitates when you give it a bootful and has an annoying little ticking noise from the top end. It's a little hesitant to go into 5th and reverse, I'm assuming it needs a new bushing on the little ball on the gearbox end of the shifter. The brakes are surprisingly good for what is basically a Sigma and the suspension is in ok nick too.
It's got a basic stereo (Fusion 6.5in 2-ways in the parcel shelf and a CD/MP3 player) but I'll be keeping the head deck.
Car's located in Parkes, NSW.
I'm looking for $700.

Very interested my friend... Would it make it back to Adelaide? Is it registered?
Cheers!

Friends call me Ashgan or Ash... But you can call me failchanic. If there's a routine maintenance job that exists on a starion, then chances are i've failed at it.
First attempt fails include:
-Changing indicator light
-Changing spark plugs
-Changing belts
-Changing airfilter
-Changing oil
-Removing rear strut
-Replacing front strut

Any idea what freight for a car is interstate? I'm pretty interested. There's a drought in australia atm of rear wheel manuals. And i want something under 1000
And a sigma would be awesome, especially to complement my starion.
How much of a hog on fuel?
-Ash
*Edit*
Parkes is only 1000km's away... So i'd be pretty keen to drive it back. Anyone know the deal with registering a car from interstate?

Does around 350-400km on a tank, maybe 55-60 litres
It's bloody loud though hopefully I'll be able to fix that next week (brand spankers new standard muffler for $50 FTW!)
I should be able to organise a permit if you're interested.
Oh, the PS pump just shat itself too, so there's no PS anymore.

Car's not for sale anymore guys, I've decided to keep it and do it up
I do, however, have a white GE shell with a couple of tiny (less than 5mm) rust spots and a dent in the roof, no motor/box that I'll sell for $250
