The DASH motor was pulled and the engine bay stripped and repainted just for a bit of a tidy up.

The motor was built up as a short motor (with the head torqued down) by MRC Performance in Castle Hill. Mark at MRC is very thorough and has built some strong performance motors in all manner of cars. Here is as of a few weeks ago with bits coming together slowly. The inlet is the Hypertune RWD version and I have to say dealing with them was an absolute breeze - kept to their word on timeframe etc and make a top quality product.

Some specs for the motor:
Manley Rods, Mahle M'sport pistons, 8.5 comp, Cometic h/g and ARP bolts and studs throughout, modified sump with wings, baffles and windage tray, head has been tidied up in the runners and is running new everything as I bought it as a bare head - Camtech 264 (inlet) and 272 (exhaust) cams, oversize valves, Tomei cam gears.
The whole thing will be managed by a new Autronic SM4 ecu couple'd up to an M&W Pro14 CDI and COP arrangement that I sourced through MRB1 along with a GT Pumps TD0520g so we should have plenty of air, bang, fuel and flow to make some power. It should be a good thing
The clutch is a Sachs item running an Exedy h/d plate. I also grabbed a short throw shifter for the Supra box and currently working through the coolant plumbing etc.
More to come in the coming weeks
