KKR boost bleed valve

Hey guys, just wondering if the KKR boost bleed valve found here: http://www.otomoto.com.au/kkr/tuning/index.html is suitable for the starion? Would it be easy enough to fit? Cheers guys.

id stay away but if ur dead keen its guna be as good as any other one like it

KKR make decent turbos according to those who have used them.. no reason why their other stuff would be nasty or shit?

It's just a bleed.....nice bit screw on top to adjust....sure..why not.

Or go to a pneumatic place and buy an adjustable bleed valve. May set you back $10

The spring loaded valve cuts the boost of to the wastegate until set boostvalue, and then release so the wastegate opens fully at ones...
So, no pressure at all on WG before set value!
Fkn simple and works awesome...
A lot of EVO-guys use them her. Says it's even better than a EBC!

Instead of making one you can just buy a pressure relief valve, dont forget to get a softer spring version though (look at a 7-8 psi spring if you want to set boost around 1 bar). Also if you find you are getting inconsistent control you will need to put in a one way valve or drill a tiny hole in body. As for being better than an ebc i dont agree, they are cheaper and easier to set though.

Yep can often get boost creep with manual ones. Ive got a Blitz dsbc electronic one that is awesome, rock steady boost all the time. Well worth the money IMHO.

Dawes will change the ramp rate of the boost curve. You will hit max boost earlier. Sort of like the drawing below.

The TurboSmart do a Boost Tee which is as described as the "Dawes" not a bleed valve.

I thought boost creep was when your waste gate is inadequate??? Eg over boosting at higher loads?

I have also been told that the manual boost controllers (dawes type) can get a spike in boost when the boost level is first reached and ball first starts to move off the seat?

turbosmart gated boost control vavlves were susceptible to spiking, i drill the restrictor out a bit, makes them heaps better.
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.
