I'm not sure any of you will sell me one once you find out what i want to do to it...

I'm not stressed about rear quarter rust. Have access to GOOD panelbeater who works for beer. Own a restaurant so have lots of beer. Works well for me.

(Short list.... My 4g63 DOHC race motor, Castlemaine rod shop + r161 6speed getrag from a supra, autronic, and a paint job in black)

May settle for the UK one if kristian will help me import from there. we'll see what shipping prices are like.

I tried that. Seriously, it sold in under 30 minutes. Some museum bought it.

Here's one for sale on Yahoo Japan for a good price. Approx. $10K plus landed. Unfortunately, it's an auto, but it's black and an '88 build!

Sorry, car is not available on that basis! I do have access to parts, but too busy to organise.....
I wouldn't think parts for a manual conversion would be a hassle! Lots of starion projects show up on ebay for around the
$1K mark!

I'll settle for a complete list of bits, and names/numbers of people I can contact for any custom parts I may need. Unless it all literally just bolts in?

is there a thread on here somewhere about manual conversion? *searches*

Yeah that's what my VR-4 was doing for a good 4-5 months.. I just decided feck it why have a car I can't drive so I've been driving it to and from work at least 2-3 times a week, but I never take it to the supermarket or anywhere its left unattended.

If you are doing this get an auto. The auto shell has a bigger transmission tunnel which will suit the V-160 supra better.
All you need is a clutch pedal assembly, brake pedal off an aussie car.

Buy Mal's. Less arsing about and you will be able to inspect - it is always a lucky dip buying from O/S.

Can't see why anyone here would be offended by what you are doing! Go for gold son.

yes the auto tunnel is bigger, there are also how to's on the starquestclub site, not many autos here so no conversion pics :)
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

I assume fitting a clutch master cylinder is straight forward? I know late 80s/90s FWD auto Mitsis have no hole or provision for a clutch master on the firewalls, you have to cut holes yourself as opposed to Toyotas for instance which just have a plate covering the holes which can be unbolted on the autos.

Who's mal?

And I have family/friends in Southampton so they could inspect for me not hugely stressed there. Aren't the tunnels on auto's only bigger on the 89's? which you can't import anyway?

ALL auto starions in the US have wider tunnels... if that means anything to you.
