Ya aint kidding... How's RRP$485+gst = $533.50!
Best price Iv'e had in Sydney is $460. Still waiting to hear back from a couple of suppliers...

The think I like is the PWI5655 max width is 660mm and my chassis rails are 670mm so it should fit perfectly (5mm gap either side) and with the 2.5" top inlet/outlets mean I'll have a short run of piping either side of the radiator.
That and I'm trying to support Australian made products.

Actually anyone else interested? Might try to organise a group buy. Hurry up if you want to express interest as I'll be getting one either way in a week or two. :beer

Mods... Might want to move this to Buy/Sell?

No that price is about right. I actually ordered directly from PWR when I got a quote. I haven't bought yet, but have been very interested in getting my cooler from them. I would love to go in on the group buy, but would have to see if I can spend some of the money on it. See how you go with prices first. :beer

Friends call me Ashgan or Ash... But you can call me failchanic. If there's a routine maintenance job that exists on a starion, then chances are i've failed at it.

First attempt fails include:
-Changing indicator light
-Changing spark plugs
-Changing belts
-Changing airfilter
-Changing oil
-Removing rear strut
-Replacing front strut

So the core is 500 wide. Will that definitely fit between the rails?

From my research bigger is not always better. I believe that 450x300x75 is about optimal for a high performance upgrade with high flow characteristics and no clearance issues. I picked mine up for $100 off boost cruising sales section. If you read PWR's technical information you will see that they know most Chinese knockoffs are very good. Yes they do have a great product but you pay a premium price for something which may be no better than a cheaper version. Jap parts? or some other online site has a wide range of coolers. I will endeavour to post the site details back here when I find them. Here is a pic of my set up which is positioned for optimum airflow and piping.

Maybe Dave, you could post up a pic with the pipework in place.

The maximum overall width is 660mm check the drawing I posted above. Check the RHS of the Drawing.

Can you measure your chassis rail gap ? (Mine was apprximately 670mm)

Agreed, I'm downsizing from a 600x300 core. Chinese copy. Worked very well as a heat sink. You could would feel how well it was working when the car was on the dyno. But it weighs a ton, has a high pressure drop, made in china (doesn't support Aussie jobs) and still cost me $250 new.

As for PWR commenting on their website about chinese intercoolers, i couldn't a reference. But from my experience they do work fine.

I think your set up looks great. Would love to to see the piping and fitment with an airdam.

Don't take this the wrong way but this thread is in the Buy / Sell.
If your interested in upgrading your chinese intercooler for a better flowing, australian made product, please express your interest as part of this group buy. If not, I'm sure people are still interested in your experience, set up and photos (including myself), in the Technical or Show and Go setions.

Cheers
