I'll keep this one simple guys because i'm just pickin at your brains again :P
What are the imediate advantages of having an intercooler?
What work is required to fit an intercooler? (Assuming i have the intercooler and correct piping, somewhere to mount it and feed the piping through) Is it as simple as hooking it up, or is tuning required?

Friends call me Ashgan or Ash... But you can call me failchanic. If there's a routine maintenance job that exists on a starion, then chances are i've failed at it.
First attempt fails include:
-Changing indicator light
-Changing spark plugs
-Changing belts
-Changing airfilter
-Changing oil
-Removing rear strut
-Replacing front strut

lower intake temp = higher density intake charge = more power & ability to run more boost :beer
you can run one on a stock starion. just make sure u use 98 octane, dont run more than 12 or 13psi and keep ignition advance at stock levels and you should be fine.

ps, you should be running 98 octane petrol anyway..
mine had a droney cannon and used to make 11 - 13 psi boost with NO intercooler or aftermarket boost control or anything, and it was still fine on 98 octane.. no knock or anything.. but that's sydney weather..
when i changed the droner to a proper muffler, boost went back down to 7-8 psi

yep 450X300X76 with 2.5 inch piping is ideal and a good fit.
