Is my booster buggered and if it is, how do I fix it?

No, it's a bit rough, especially when cold (which is also when the booster isn't working) Very interesting....
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

Haven't been on the net for a while (bloody computers) but I look like I've resolved the issue. It was the one way valve in the vac line, replaced it and it's fine now. Thanks one and all.
