MY new Starion has been 'KEYED' down the side. FIx how?

Post by Tamgesic »

My partner is meant to be a Starion addict like me ...

..bad karma for him, he just keyed my Starion!!!!! Not cool man and all the way along the passenger side, not a little key mark thats for sure.

Have heard of special stuff that will fix it if you give it a polish/wax

Anyone know what its called? ..if its available in N.Z?

should have done a search so apologies if something already on this .

If its down to bare metal then theres nothing that will fix it up aside from a touch up pen or respraying sections.

You serious? yes is down to metal? thought there was some 'magic' stuff you could use for stuff like this? o dam , its all the way in big waves from the petrol cap to the front guard

Because he's simply an irritable angry f#@k who get his knickers in a knot over the most pathetic stuff. He's a baby and throws tanties.

Wish i could say he did it over something important like finding out i was cheating or something but no can do, just what he does .

Should'nt turn this into a b#tch session though

But NOT COOL huh??

Starion gods will be pissed...i sure am!!!

3 yrs and a baby girl ...thats it . last straw

Sure ruins the buzz i was on from owning my first starion and since being offered an EX model in mint condtion for extra cheap for parts .

Wow just occured to me that maybe he might simply be jealous? But whats mine is his so thats kind of strange?

PLEASE if anyone can help with ideas on how to touch it up then be my guest.

If its down to metal theres going to be no magic cure. There isnt a product which will make the paint scratched off magiclly re-appear. Matching the colour and touching it up is probably the easiest way out. Supercheap Auto usually has them (large pen looking thing) although u will have a find a colour that matches so take a sample in and compare.

Or you could just leave it as a reminder to him re his temper.

hmmm not good news

a mate saw it and said i should be able to polish it out , i didnt think so .

so what do these touch up pens from supercheap turn out like? will hve to go have a look

colour is gunmetal grey

dont think reminder will work , plus i wont be around for him to ever see car or me and remember . have forgiven way too many times. thats just not on .

from a mazda fan too..FAST FORD your maz sounds insane man .
Bet its cold down there in christchurch at mo...good for the rev's those cold mornings huh? Lol i do miss my maz. the new starion is soo slow in comparison. Mine was a bloody quick ride. Will just have to be patient and get Starion moving as quick ....once this mess is over . PLus no b.f anymore to help kind of sucks . hmm actually..will probably end up with less issues as if i let there be a next time it would be sugar in the tank no doubt!!

depends how much time u want to put into it.
Putting some on then polishing the car might be good enough to hide it.
Depends how thick the scratch is. definatly looks better then bare metal though which WILL rust.

Have a look on youtube for scratch repairs

Since you know the "offender" I recon you could do one of the following:

Put pressure on him to pay for the repair.
Go through insurance and name him, that way the insurance company will chase him for the money.
Dob him into the police for damage.
Go to the small claims court and get him to pay that way.

Either way, what he did is disgusting and he should pay to have it fixed!
