New Console

Post by Vulpes »

Made a new centre consol tonight, one of the benefits of being a builder I guess is you have all the right tools at your fingertips. Only took an hour and a half. Will post pics tomorrow. This was my first effort now in hoongirls car. New one is similar but has more shape to it ( not taking anything away from Hoonies, it's just different )

I didn't mind hoonies but I just thought it was too bulky. Will be interested to see what you came up with.

Hoonies doesnt feel bulky at all once you are in the car, it just cocoons you nicely. I like to feel like i'm sitting in a car rather than on it and I think the standard consoles just plain suck.

Yeah that design is a little better.

I am sure it feels nicer when inside the car. Can't wait to see what it looks like when finished.

it's MDF. you can get it from any hardware store. I got two thicknesses, 13 and 16 mm.

no, short shifter still has to be built or it will foul the higher console.

Have you got any pics of the exterior of your car. It looks very familiar, may be my old car
