GB Feeler: Star-Orion Braided Oilcooler Lines
JR in the US is now getting into making replacement oil cooler lines. So im going to see if there is any interest in them here in Aus/NZ.
They are made very similar to the clutch lines that i did the GB of earlier in the year. They are teflon cored, stainless braided lines with a PVC covering.
Only colours available this time are Silver, Blue or Red.
Price hasnt been finalized but its looking to be around the $150 USD shipped.(American not Australian $) which is roughly $210 Aus at the moment.
At the moment the ends are 1 end with 90degree bend and the opposite end a banjo bolt. Both banjo or both 90's are being looked into.
Im hoping to buy a set soon to test fit to make sure they will fit the Aussie car without any issues. Final price depends on how much interest there is.
So post up if you would be up for a set.

I will be test fitting a set and getting final price before definatly starting GB. I have given JR some measurements and they will be long enough. Just have to check the end fittings go in and dont interfere with anything.

Not as silly as it sounds as now plumbers use braided lines to connect the water outlet in the wall to whatever instead of bent on site copper pipe so you may just manage to pull the wool over her eyes this time and get away with it :)JD_Stazza_Brendan wrote:Tell her they are braided lines for the kitchen sink. :D

Or.... tell her they are for the automatic washing machine in the laundry, they use braided lines as well these days. :)

New pic and details. Still waiting on the sample line to test fit.
Kit one(represented by the line in silver) does so with clear or colored cover on stainless steel braided Teflon -6 line and -6an to banjo fittings on both lines, with the appropriate washers and new banjo bolts.
Kit two (represented by the line in black)has the same high quality line, in the same lengths, but with one banjo and one 90 degree -6 crimped on end going to a steel adapter. The ends are "interchangeable" so that you can flip the 90 degree fitting to either the oil cooler end, or the oil manifold end. This also has all the needed bolts and washers
Kit three(represented by the line in red) is once again the same length of high quality line, but with a 90 degree crimped on both ends of both lines. Just like the other offerings, all the needed fittings and washers for installation are included.
The regular pricing for these is as follows (in US $). Excluding shipping to Australia.
KIT 1 $155.00
KIT 2 $151.00
KIT 3 $148.00
When i start the GB after confirming they will fit the Aussie car i have been told the more numbers the cheaper the lines.
THESE KITS ARE NOT YET IN STOCK, as I am just getting the offering going, but they will be available in CLEAR, RED, BLACK, AND BLUE (not pictured, back-ordered at the time of pictures). Banjo fittings in silver or blue.

They wil probably fit, because the 4G54 lines also fit if you put a 4G63 in it's place.
But with the stock lines you do have to bend them a little.

Ive taken pics and measurements for JR in the US and he seems to think they will fit as well. Just want to make sure 100% before i take payments for them and stuff people as well.
