What do we have here. . .
Like a nice man im going to give you some good advice here because you look like you have spent a Fortune and don't need head aches... when you put that engine in with that Big sump you should leave the front Stabilizer bar off, fit it up AFTER its in. The front of that sump comes real close to the bar, and if your using a thicker bar in may possibly hit it.
Good luck with the build, we dont see them this extravegant so often.

Started getting into the struts. Got the rears stripped down and one of the fronts stripped down (god bless impact guns)
This is what mine looked like from the parts car. Looks crap with rust and dirt. Just wait till they are finished
These are the rears that have been scrubbed up a bit. Going to look into the Sigma front struts to convert them to insert style struts like the fronts are.

Nice work Mate!!!!
I was looking for a sump like that last year when I was having my motor put together but couldnt find that web site.... Not sure why.
Would be a pain to fit to the motor now as its in the car, but think I might get one anyway.
Has anyone fitted a sump with the motor in the car? Is it do-able?

i'm told it is doable but you must have the crank throws horizontal to enable you to remove the sumpJAS wrote:Nice work Mate!!!!

I sealed up the sump on my jd with the motor in car. Removed the sump , cleaned it up, then re-installed.
It is a tight fit though.

Well i havnt been able to do much on the car. Works cut overtime for now so im down from 48+ hours to 38 :(
But i got some more goodies in that i ordered a few weeks ago.
Test fit of the air panel, needs to come off soon when i start ripping the engine bay apart. Car looks dirty here.
Got some brand new OEM diff mounts. Old ones might have been fine but everything else has gotten attention so why not. No cracked rubber here.
And got brand new OEM dust boots for the struts. 27yr old stock ones are a bit worse for wear.
