6,72 liters/100km to even more unrealistic...
Kind of like my Libero with 1.6 on the highway...

On pure highway I have seen 500 miles from a tank (800km). 8.1L/100km from a stock 2.6L starion.

Combine this with MPI and 6-7L/100 is absolutely believable. At cruise you can lean the engine out a bit with relatively safely as there is no load on the engine.

Around town or with a heavy right foot the economy figures sky rocket.

I use to drive my Starion to Rockhampton and back (350km one way) drive around Rocky, and have fuel left in tank. MPI on a stock non-cooled motor.

I know Davidbek95's 300hp MPI car did the same trip with even better economy. Drive to Rocky, go to tafe 5 days, drive home, on 1 tank.
-JA Starion with JD bits , Forged engine, Heaps of mods (parked up)
-BFII XR6 Turbo Ute , Here comes 400hp for 2k :p
-77 Mazda 323 drag car. 13bt rotary project.

Yes i have too many toys.

i wonder if the sohc 2L would be similar? my economy has always between 13 and 14L/100km.. this is regardless of how i drive and where i drive. city driving is the same as a trip from sydney to wollongong and back..

perhaps my engine is just old and tired :S

My 2L JB had worse fuel economy than the 2.6L. Maybe the 2L works a bit harder at 100km/h.
Around town they'd be much the same ie. not great!

My JA is better on fuel then my 2.6 when going to brissy and back. And the JA is very good around town. Maybe that might be my upgrades though.
