was referring to the black (is it plastic? i thought it was rubber..) sheild that goes over the entire fuel pump.. i suppose if you've put rubber between it and the clamps, that'll take care of the vibrations anyway

Looking good mate, what fuel pump are you using as some bosch pumps, looks like a 910, some bosch pumps have trouble sucking fuel up as they are designed to be gravity feed.

It was just something i was told when i bought the same pump, so something to keep in mind when its all put back together and to keep an eye on it.

Ok been to the dyno. Had a drama filled day with the waste gate sticking half open and the computer doing weird things. Finally ended up with 165.1hp of power and 900ft/lbs of torque. I thaught not too bad for stock pistons and turbo. To get that the turbo was giving all it would too, blowing flames at one point. here is the trace anyway.

It's not torque it's called "tractive effort "and I don't know of any formula to convert it to torque

heaps better than throttle body. Throttle response is awlsome and better on fuel too. Its running at 14psi. heaps smoother power than before too.

sorry to dig up an old thread here, but i have a question.. the pipe on the turbo inlet.. behind the power steering pump assembly.. did it fit in the stock position or did you move the power steering gear or the turbo somewhat? if you didn't have to move anything, what pipe is that? just a 90 degree? what thickness?

not even sure if drdreath still graces the forums?

Cheers

Looks like a silicone hose that is a 90 degree bend that is a reducer. Everything re the ps gear and turbo is in the stock location.
