it's funny.. we always want what we can't have.. down under we want 5 lug.. up there you want 4 lug..
swaps? :beer
It's nearly impossible to find a 4 stud wheel with a low offset.
You're forced to spend your life searching ebay, forums and yahoo japan looking for 2nd hand wheels that might fit! or $3,000 on a set of Simmons!
you cannot find a set on yahoo japan? i find that hard to believe. cos i see plenty on there every day.

umm no. A set come up about once a week (I'm after 17x8 at a minimum)
Otomoto sell 4x114.3 wheels too. http://www.otomoto.com.au/photos.htm But not so far in 17's.

But Like I said...

Lucky for us (and probably the States) there are heaps of AE86s, S13 Silvias and other common 4x114.3mm RWD 'drift' cars around so there's heaps of wheels to choose from.
Where do you typically find them?
Got any links to examples of these wheels?
TradeMe (NZ alternative to eBay)
various car forums etc

a quick search on trademe brings up these:

OK.. But I'd rather JB factory rims

Prolly need to roll the front guards depending on height and camber

Thanks... But I have seen those types of small old skool rims that are mainly for the AE86's...

although.. the 9 inch and 9.5 inch ones are -13 and -19 offset.. they won't fit, will they? or can you get them to fit by rolling the guards a heap?

^^ project.r.racing
I appreciate your offer of help, but I do have a set of wheels lined up....
Don't don't get crabby with me, I was merly originally trying to point out that you don't want to just want to switch 5 stud to a 4 stud. There are some wheel option issues associated with that path.

Oh...
If you do come across a set of 4x114.3 in
FRONT: 17x7.5 to 17x17x8.5 +6 offset
REAR: 17x8 to 17x17x9.5 +12 offset
MUST HAVE DISH... Mesh or 5 spoke.
Minimal gutter rash and no cracks or buckles for less than 25,000 yen.

Let me know :beer

Like these would have been ok...
http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r50565242

but like I said... they don't come up very often...

17x8.5 +4 9.27kg $329 IN STOCK (That's $1,316 for a set).

Not bad. Love the dish but could be a bit too common and a bit too old skool... For the "modern" Starion rofl

Geez I'm a fussy prick

^^ That will happen if you hit a gutter...

Actually I have heard that around 2001 that there was a bad batch of wheels from Rota and they they started to crack on the spoke. The company traced the batch and replaced the faulty wheels free of charge (as they should).
