No front number plate legal?????

Post by TD05 »

There's a brisbane website that goes out and takes pics of people cruising around and there are number of people driving around without the front number plate, I know that motor bikes aren't required to have them, what's the deal with cars though.... :?:

There are a lot of people over here with their front numberplates on their dash.. the speed cameras can rarely make out the plate when it's there and I haven't heard of anyone getting defected for it, but I would assume it's illegal.

once upon a time I had an 87 celica with a sexy body kit on it, and around that time it was the "in thing" to have your front plate on the dash.
I thought Id have a go at this new craze, but only got about 5 ks befor I got pulled up. Didnt get booked, just told to put it back on.
I know of a Hilux lowrider that got defected for having his rear plate mounted on an angle, he spent weeks making that tail gate too.

Yep it's definitely illegal in WA!
I had mine on my dash, (after picking it up off the road), and was told to put it straight back on by Mr & Mrs Plod. What a nice couple, they didn't book me.
