Nice to catch up with everyone...... :)
Despite the two widey's there, Hooney's gold starion gets the most favourite vote from the public :D
Maybe I should have kept my GSR-V????
:beer
PS There's some serious 'go' in those vr4 powered stazzas....

Was a good way to enjoy a sunday guys, thanks Peter and Shannon.
It has inspired me to attempt to work out an interesting drive, with twisty roads, some good photo-shoot opportunities, minimal maccas, not so far out, water views, and a decent pub lunch (with views) at the finish.
It would want to be a Sunday morning start.
There will be a water crossing and winding back roads.
More a bit later.

Might just bring The Elf for that one. :)
Was a good day and glad to catch up with everyone.
Thanks for organising it, Pete.
I think the next cruise route you have set up is great (not a single maccas until Wollongong :D)
I reckon we should be able to get into double-digit figures for Starions at one place in NSW :D

Ok, Im thinking something like this:
Start: Maccas at Thornleigh
cross Pennant Hills Rd into Commenara Parkway,
all the way along the Commenara into Doncaster Av
Turn Left onto Ryde Rd.
Under the Pacific Hwy into Mona Vale Rd
Through St Ives
either turn right into Forrest Way, or, keep right and loop under Mona Vale Rd, run through the industrial park, then turn right into Forrest Way.
This can be a good little squirt, depending on traffic.
Maybe a re-group at this point.
Along Forrest Way, turn left into Morgan Rd (just past Glenaeon Village).
Down the hill, through the twisties and bush.
Cross the ittybitty bridge and keep right onto Oxford Falls Rd.
Past the satellite station, cross the ford and turn left into Wakehurst Parkway, heading towards Narrabeen.
After the Sydney Academy of Sport, over the bridge and turn right off the parkway into the parking lot at the reserve by the lake.
Chat and photo-op.
Turn right onto Wakehurst Parkway.
Keep left onto Pittwater Rd then turn left at lights/Caltex servo.
Turn left into Powderworks Rd, all the way to the top...
Turn left onto Mona Vale Rd, go past the Bahi Temple...
Turn right at the McCarrs Ck Rd turnoff at Terry Hills
go right at the roundabout along McCarrs Ck Rd.
Keep right on McCarrs CR otherwise your into the national park pay station.
Wizz down the hill, traffic permitting.
Possible re-group and chat at McCarrs Ck Reserve where the creek opens out.
Continue on through Church Point and Bayview
turn left into Barrenjoey Rd
turn left into Beaconsfield St to the Newport Arms Hotel for drinks, chat and lunch, with views.
Home.
What do you guys reccon?
