I know it's not a Staz but it will run and hide from a standard starion and it is in absolutly MINT condition. 83,000 k's and serviced every 5,000. Drives likes it's made out of tin cans though compared to the quality and weight of a starion.

Very nice and immaculate! I had an '86 GSR Turbo Cordia as well - NZ-spec with crap seats but with TC06 turbo factory. I also had an '85 4WD Turbo Cordia GT with TC05.

yeah well you aussies missed out a bit on the grey jap imports :P
I'll have to load up some pics of it when I get home. It was honestly nothing special, just a typical Jap spec Cordia with TC05, big bumpers etc, with primitive 4WD - the rear beam was torsion spring, the front steering crossmember was dropped down to allow the transfer case to go above the rack, and the whole cars suspension was raised up an inch or two. It really looked like a post-production afterthought implementation - the car simply wasn't designed to have a 4WD model like the 87-92 Galant did. The gearbox was a four speed 'super-shift' box with a transfer case hanging off it, there was no centre diff, and the 4WD was electronically engaged with a button on the top of the super-shift lever.

The chassis prefix was E-A213G. I just recently sold the speedometer cluster which had the 4WD selection indicator on it - one of the last parts I have left of it.

^ Cheers DG, think I just found where the diff from my 4WS car is from.
We also still have a Cordia, 1985 1 owner NZ new, NZ built.
They fucked up building it as I found out when we fitted air con,
they had put the wiring loom thru the wrong holes in the firewall, the holes for the air con pipes :x

Oh real wonder if it's still there - 'tis a pretty rare (but shit) car. That guy in Wellington was having issues with his gearbox, seeing as a 4WD Cordia gearbox isn't the easiest thing to get ahold of, it affectively wrote off his car.

Are those GK Sigma SE rims? GK Sigma wouldn't have had those rims - the Cordia has +46mm offset like most other FWD/4WD Mitsis, the Sigma would have been about +25-32mm offset.
