Why go north ? :? it's so hot and humid up there
Do you have a job lined up there or something, surely there cannot be another reason ?

Check out where he's from; I don't think heat is going to be a problem for him :)

Wrenchman, I think Melbourne would have been a better choice as we get all seasons down here - sometimes all in the one day rofl
Good luck with the big move.

Looks like QLD is also going to be the Widey State. would be a few here now, and another coming.

A reason to come up north this way is due to the industry boom, Big dollars being spent here. You get in the right line of work and you can get alot of money.

And we have the whitsundays/barrier reef here :D

Good luck on your move.

NZ would have been easier car wise, ship it, rego it, drive it.

Oh yeah how do you figure that? Considering NZ's unemployment rate is lower than Australia's, and our income tax is lower than Australia. Not to mention all the masses and masses of cars which you guys wouldn't even dream of getting in Australia. We no longer have a lesbian with a horse for a head ruling our country anymore either :D

We just don't have all the nice weather and hot chicks :P
