I know this has been covered and I've looked at the pics but can't tell -
It's 3.9 LSD but don't know which one - it was apparently off a US sapporo but the model number also corresponds to an 89 US starion diff so not sure!
Cheers for your help!
What diff is this?

The US never got IRS Sapporos - they were all live axle Dave
only Japan and european markets had the IRS in the A164A, and I think they were all 3.545 ratio and would have been small crown wheel with smaller 4 bolt axles.

if it has the same part number as an 89 spec US starion it would suggest it's the larger "JD" size crownwheel.
Take the back plate off and see I guess.
My original Eterna (Sapporo) diff had a completely different casting to either Starion small or large diff housings around the drain plug, so that would be another giveaway that it's not a Sapporo diff.
