Not sure on prices jas, but they can be contacted here http://www.rodshop.com.au/contact.htm, best to call them rather than email though.

The PPG gearsets are 8 grand, + the cost of the rebuild- I've asked the questions. 0 :beer
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

Whats the belhousing worth??
He guy here is having his own gearset made...
CRS sells an adapter plate that fits behind the Borg Warner bellhousing (OEM Aus spec Sigma). You need to source the bellhousing first and then send it to them for modification. Then you need to work around the cable clutch mechanism vs hydraulic. They are a good bit of kit & I think it was about $200 when I got mine.

RT may be thinking of Dellow who apparently started making the Starion to supra bellhousings again. When I rang some years ago they emphatically declared that the mould was broken and they would never make any more. I have also heard some bad stories about build quality albeit not necessarily about the starion to supra bellhousing. I think they are about $350 (could be wrong).

ryan if u want something thats strong enough for burnouts and massive abuse, get a tremec TKO

you'll be bleeding out the ass by the time its in though (but not as bad as a PPG'd supra box)
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

I was looking at the projectzerog page and there was mention of a bellhousing to fit a t56 tranny to the back of the 4g. Its heavy and the shifts arent very smooth but it will handle all the abuse that you can give it, though if you shift like that synchros will be the weakest link.

make some more power instead of trying to "drive" a 13sec car into the 12s.
I'd only seek turbo, brake, gbox upgrades etc.. from heavier more powerful cars.
Seen W58 stand up to 400+ ft-lbs tq & lift the front wheels on a street car.
This guy told me, "his w58 shifts fine at 10,000rpm".

of the bigger boxes, I'd stick to the nissan rb25/z32 5 speed.
A old street Z31 300zx runs 9.3sec 1/4s with his oe 5spd, no nitros

anyone silly enough can break any box with 200hp tho

My Yellow JA's box has had 2nd gear pretty much dead since I got the thing. You put her in gear, and it just jumps out the moment you go to release the clutch. You have about a 50/50 chance of it staying in there. But I have made it last well over a year without any change. You just have to baby it. If you want REALLY low 1/4 mile times, this is why they go with auto's I think.

Just be nicer to your car and it will be nice back :beer
