Cookie, assuming that the coil overs aren't wider than the standard Starion suspension, then even the +27 will fit with plenty of room under the guard. The 245/40/16's just clear the spring platform using the +40 offset 9" rears.

Here is a nifty offset calculator that will help anyone who is contemplating changing wheels:

Nope.. the coil-overs aren't any wider.. but the lower platform sits lower than standard suspension.

Thanks for the link to the offset calculator.

In that case, you will more than likely have to get a wheel with much less positive offset as I think +15 will be touch and go. You should be able to fit 245's on 9" rims using a +/-0 offset but its always best to triple check the measurement on your car. And you also need to factor in any tyre over hang.

I measured about 160mm from hub face to strut.

OK.. measurements are done. Current wheels are 16x7.5 with a +30 offset allround. They clear the front struts by 5mm and the rear struts by 40mm.

New front wheels will be 17x8 with a +12 offset. This will clear the front strut by 17mm and sit the wheel 24mm closer to the guard.

New rear wheels will be 17x9 with a +27 offset. This will clear the rear strut by 24mm and bring the wheel 22mm closer to the guard.

Should be fine. Front guards may need some massaging.
